We at KIMBRIAN are very smitten with the German Wirehaired Pointer’s (GWP’s) as a breed and thought we would share our experiences with you and share the ups and the downs of our JESS and LOUIE as they mature. There are many Web sites by GWP breed experts which we are not, and do not profess to be.

But we hope you will enjoy the journey as we share our experiences as Newcomers entering the breed and the dog show fraternity. Hopefully it will be of some help to others that wish to take up this rewarding pastime.

German Wirehaired Pointer Puppies are not for the fainthearted, they are lively little souls and when the breeder of your puppy tells you to purchase yourself a Crate for your puppy please listen. The item is not for punishing your puppy but somewhere for her or him to go that is safe and out of harms way without being shut away from the family.
